Google & AI content

3 questions

Is AI-written content against Google's guidelines?
No, not in itself. Google's guidance says that using AI to help create content is not against its guidelines on its own. What counts is whether the content is helpful, original and made for people rather than made to manipulate rankings. The trouble starts when AI is used to publish large amounts of low-value pages, which is exactly the habit TrySEO is built to replace.
What is scaled content abuse?
It is one of Google's spam policies, added in March 2024. It covers producing many pages mainly to manipulate search rankings, with little value for users, and it applies whether the pages were made by AI, by humans or by both. The policy is about the purpose and the value of the pages, not the tool that wrote them.
Does TrySEO guarantee rankings?
No, and nobody honestly can. TrySEO controls the part you can control: research from live results, writing in your voice and an on-page audit against 19 rules. Where Google places a page also depends on your site, your competitors and things no tool can see.

The product

5 questions

How is TrySEO different from asking a chatbot for an article?
A single prompt gives you one unresearched pass in a generic voice, and nobody checks it. TrySEO looks at the live search results first, builds an outline, writes section by section against your approved brand profile, adds internal links and meta data, then scores the article against a 19-point rulebook. Anything under 75 stays a draft for you to review.
Which model do you use?
Google Gemini. Keyword discovery and the research step use Gemini with Google Search grounding, so they work from live search results rather than from what a model remembers.
What does the 19-point audit check?
Five phases: keyword and content strategy, structure and readability, keyword optimisation and placement, on-page technical elements, and media and linking. Each rule returns pass, warn or fail. 17 checks are automated today; 2 that need a judgment review are coming and are skipped for now. The SEO rulebook lists every rule.
Do you do GEO or AI-answer optimisation?
No. TrySEO focuses on SEO for Google Search: keyword research, search intent, on-page quality and content people want to read. It does not offer features for getting cited by AI assistants or for optimising AI-generated answers.
Does TrySEO generate images, track rankings or build backlinks?
No. TrySEO writes and audits articles. It does not generate images, track rankings, analyse backlinks or provide analytics. Articles are text, so add your own images before publishing: the rulebook expects them.

Keywords & data

2 questions

Are search volumes real?
They are estimates. Volume and difficulty are judged by the model from live search results; they are not measured data from an advertising platform. Treat them as a way to compare keyword ideas with each other, not as exact monthly counts.
Where do the keyword ideas come from?
From your seed keywords. For each seed, Gemini searches Google live, studies the results, the related searches and the People Also Ask boxes, and proposes specific queries your site could realistically rank for, each with its search intent and a few People Also Ask questions.

Publishing

2 questions

Will TrySEO publish without asking me?
Only if you switch auto-publish on, and only when the article scores 75 or higher in the audit. Otherwise it stays a draft. Auto-publish is off by default, so unless you change that, every article waits for your review.
Where can I publish?
To WordPress, through its REST API with an application password, or to any system that accepts a webhook. Shopify and Webflow connectors are coming soon. Publishing is optional: you can also export the HTML from the editor and publish it yourself.

Account & credits

2 questions

How do credits work?
You get 100 credits when you sign up, with no card. One credit is one generated article. If generation fails before an article exists, the credit is refunded. Brand scans, keyword discovery and clustering do not use credits.
Are there paid plans?
Not yet. TrySEO is free in early access. If you need more than 100 credits, contact us. See pricing for the details.

Privacy

2 questions

What do you send to Google?
The text needed to research and write: your brand profile, your keywords and the text of the pages scanned from your own site are sent to the Gemini API through Google Cloud. The privacy policy has the full picture.
Do you use tracking or advertising cookies?
No. TrySEO sets one essential session cookie to keep you signed in. There are no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies and no trackers on this site.
